We have data processing agreements in place with our partners for the UK and EU.
You can review the Data Processing Agreement in your coach contract.
What does this mean?
This means that you can access the Liva website to carry out interventions in the UK and EU countries.
This does not include live video calls, but can include sending written and video interventions.
Live video calls should be carried out in the location in which you were contracted to work from, as the time difference must be considered.
For example, a coach who is travelling from the UK to Italy for 2 weeks in the summer would be able to deliver their weekly / bi-weekly video interventions. They would not be able to do ICs or other live calls with members.
Other considerations
When you are away from home, you may be more likely to rely on unsecured wifi networks, such as shared networks in a cafe, hotel or public space. This level of wifi is insufficient to carry out your Liva work and is in breach of the Data Processing Agreement.
You can review the IT declaration in your contract for a reminder of the expectations on data security.
The main aspect to be aware of is ensuring that the wifi connection you use to access the Liva platform is protected/encrypted with security corresponding to WPA encryption. This is true when working from home, as well as abroad.
In addition, you should ensure that the same quality of video can created for members when outside your usual work environment. This includes:
- appropriately dressed for a professional health video (eg not in swimwear / strappy tops)
- in a private professional clean setting (eg not by a pool, in a hotel bedroom, or with other people in the same room)
- free of background noise and distractions
- sent at an acceptable time of day - although notifications to members are silenced after 10pm, messages from coaches are time-stamped, so please consider the perception of seeing a message sent by a coach at 1am.
